In boxing, as in life, we experience pain. But in boxing, we have the opportunity to truly relate to it, to strengthen our bonds and develop an intimacy with pain. When we achieve this intimacy, there is no more competition, as acceptance, understanding, and respect are elevated to a level of stability. And then, pain becomes beneficial. Through training or dance, we can transcend pain to the point where the singular experience is redefined for the good, the lasting, and the subtle.
